Coco Paperie is Deb Pang Davis.
I’m a wife, a sister, a daughter, a step-mother (ok, more a friend than a step-mom...), a friend, a designer, a photographer, a typeface-addict, an entrepreneur…
We moved from DC to Oregon in 2004 and within a year or so the years and hours I spent working hard on my editorial design career suddenly changed… Coco Paperie is one result of taking the fork in the road.
My former cubicle life… Art Director for Virtuoso Life magazine, Associate Art Director for National Geographic Traveler magazine and Design Editor for various newspapers around the country. That life was loads of fun and on occasion I still design a book or magazine because there are just some loves that just stay with you…
And speaking of loves… paper, typography, color, texture, nature, various qualities of light… there is a lot to love, admire, appreciate… Being a designer allows me to play in a giant sandbox.
When I’m not looking at Pantone colors, touching paper or shopping for typefaces, you can find me geeking out as Cococello where I design and develop websites.
Pretty soon, I'll be teaching at Syracuse University!
