About Coco Paperie

I launched Coco Paperie after receiving such kind feedback from friends, family, clients and strangers about my invitation designs. Coco Paperie is a reflection of my love of paper, nature and all things minimalist and beautiful.

Back on Track

It's funny how there are moments in life that tell you to keep moving forward. It happens to me a lot. Just when I think I should give up or take a break something or someone shows up to encourage you to stay on track.

I suppose "putting it out there" is the first step. I'm not sure where I learned this but as I get older I'm truly starting to believe that if you share whatever is going on to the universe and say it out loud, the universe will respond...

The last time I posted I was so sure creating a separate place for my invitation designs may not have been such a good idea and that maybe I should, in so many words, give up and just concentrate on my web design work. Websites were keeping busy. When the heck am I going to find the time to really focus on invitation and stationery design?!

All it took was one person from Australia (thank you Roslyn) to give me a thumbs up to keep going. I thought, "Wow, this is why I love the internet." It's so wild to have a friendly and encouraging voice from across the Pacific give me just enough of a boost to seriously reconsider.

Soon after, I received a packet of information from a letterpress printer about working with them. Then, Kevin of Jazyrain emailed to talk more about streamlining the process of working with him... Then came the encouragement of sales from Minted...

I took these as more signs of encouragement: Go do what you love!

So for the months of November and December I have decided to focus more on Coco Paperie with new designs with a debut of sometime in early January 2010. I'll have printed samples, more photos in the gallery and a maybe even some offerings in the shop!

Between now and then, I may throw some ideas out to share and get feedback.
